Chinese New Year Festival Postponed to March 30th

Colorado Springs, CO - In respect for the recent circumstances and the closure of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS), the Colorado Springs Chinese Cultural Institute (CSCCI) will postpone their 25th Annual Chinese New Year Celebration, the Year of the Dragon, to March 30, 2024 at the Ent Center for the Arts at UCCS, 5225 N. Nevada Avenue.


Mali Hsu, founder of CSCCI states “We are all one community and one family, we stand with the students, faculty, staff, and alumnae of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in this most recent tragedy. We honor their family and friends at this time and will dedicate this year’s performance of the Year of the Dragon to all and pray for healing and understanding in this tragic loss.


Ticket holders will be contacted by the Ent Center Box Office with updated information. Current tickets will be honored on March 30th, no change needed. For more information and questions contact the box office at phone 719-255-8181 or visit EntCenterfortheArts.org.


The refreshed 2024 New Year Celebration is produced in partnership with CSCCI, the UCCS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program and UCCS Asian Studies. It continues to be a mainstay cultural event in Colorado Springs offering performances of the traditional lion dance, Taiko drummers, Asian ribbon & fan dances, unique Chinese musical instrument performances, martial arts exhibitions, the Dragon Dance, Asian Aerial Acrobats and more.
